Since the fall of Roe v. Wade, which nullified the constitutional right to an abortion, Republicans have continued to creep into women’s private, reproductive lives. Their latest move, bolstered by ultra-MAGA Rep. Lauren Boerbert is an attempt to ban Mifepristone, a key abortion drug, nationwide. Mifepristone was approved as safe and effective by the FDA in 2000. Since then, it has been used in more than half of all  abortions in the US, and its record is safer than penicillin and  Viagra.

 Rep. Boebert signed onto an amicus brief that urged a Texas appeals court to revoke the FDA approval of Mifepristone. Now the case goes before the Supreme Court where they could effectively end medication abortion as we know it for the entire nation!

A Trump appointed judge in Texas suspended the FDA’s approval of the drug. The ruling was stayed by the Supreme Court, keeping it available for now…  a ruling is expected in June 2024.

 Anti-abortion zealots, bent on denying women equality and self determination are arguing that Mifepristone isn’t safe, despite being widely used for more than TWENTY YEARS with a safe track record.

This isn’t pro-life. This is an invasion of privacy and the denial of bodily autonomy.  Help stop the Republican attempt to ban abortions nationwide.  Abortion rights are human rights.
